Elevenmile Canyon is known for its superb dry fly fishing. The Trico hatch is one of many that anglers should concentrate their efforts on.

14 Day Forecast:  Look for lower flows and great hatches of midges and baetis in the canyon.

Tips and Other Information: Anglers should prepare themselves for AM and PM midge hatches in conjunction with a mid-day blue-winged olives. The water coming out of eleven mile reservoir is ice cold so early mornings right now can be a bit slow. Wait for it to warm up a little and the fish will be more willing to take a fly. anglers should prepare to fish small flies in conjunction with flouorocarbon tippet in 5-6x. having your right depth and weight will make a huge difference here. Eleven Mile Reservoir is at 102 percent capacity which is good news for the fishery below and should help out come this winter!
