Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and knowledgeable Part-Time, Seasonal, Fly-Fishing Shop Retail Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an avid fly-fishing angler with the ability to engage and educate customers about fly fishing gear, techniques, and local waters. As a Retail Associate, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, assisting with sales, managing inventory, and ensuring the shop is well-organized. This position is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, personable, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers with product selection, offering expert advice on fly fishing gear, apparel, and accessories.
• Provide information and guidance on Denver Front Range fishing conditions, local waters, and effective fishing techniques.
• Operate point-of-sale system, process transactions, and maintain an accurate cash register.
• Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves, restocking merchandise, and maintaining the sales floor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment.
• Support promotional and seasonal sales efforts, ensuring products are showcased and displayed effectively.
• Ensure product knowledge is up to date, including new arrivals and upcoming trends in the fly-fishing world.

Requirements:

• You must be a passionate and experienced fly-fishing junkie with knowledge of Denver Front Range waters.
• Experience in retail sales and customer service, preferably in a fly fishing or outdoor equipment store.
• Energetic, outgoing, and personable with the ability to work well in a team setting.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to take initiative.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or higher; retail experience preferred.
• Knowledge of fly-fishing gear, techniques, and products.
• Fly tying experience a plus
