It features a u-shaped large-arbor and a compact carbon fiber drag system that offers smooth fish stopping torque. Redington Rise iii Reel Review

I bought this reel after a trip to Chile, where I was reminded that a good reel is essential when dealing with large trout. I have now been out with the reel in Maine several times, and am very pleased- the 7/8 size reel is perfectly balanced for my Orvis Recon rod, the retrieval rate is really fast, and the drag system is quickly adjustable when a large Androscoggin rainbow takes a streamer. My nly suggestion is that the handedness of the particular reel that is being sent be stipulated- Mine arrived L, and I had to figure out how to reverse it (not very tough to do).
