What’s Unique About Float Trips?

Most of the fishing action during our float trips will consist of nymphing multiple fly rigs under an indicator or casting streamers on the bank which is one of the most exciting ways to entice the larger browns in this section of river. Although we fish out of the boat during our float trips, we also get out and wade fish the most productive runs. Early Spring and late Fall are the best times to fish the Colorado River but fish can be caught during run-off. Caddis hatches begin in May and by end of May into the first week of June brings out the monster Salmon Flies which makes for some great dry fly action, if they are looking up. This hatch moves quickly up river but is worth chasing if the water is not too high. July and August can bring on PMD and Yellow Sally hatches.

Our float trips include all necessary equipment, including flies, leaders, a stream side lunch and waders. Gratuity and a Colorado fishing license is NOT included in the cost.
