The Blue Quill Difference
The Blue Quill Angler guide service operates from our fly shop in Evergreen, Colorado, about 25 minutes west of Denver. Our professional guide team fishes an extensive mix of permitted public water, private ranches, and float water throughout Colorado's Rocky Mountain Front Range.
A great guide trip should do more than put fish in the net. We focus on choosing the best available water, keeping client-to-guide ratios low, and helping you understand the techniques, rigging, presentation and decision-making that make you a better angler long after the trip is over.

Public Water
Full-day and half-day walk/wade trips give you access to some of the best fishing available across the Denver Front Range. Your guide will select water based on current flows, weather, hatches and fishing conditions.
Private Water
Escape the crowds and spend the day on one of our private-water destinations. These full-day trips are an excellent option for families, corporate groups or anglers who simply want additional space and a more exclusive experience.
Upper Colorado River
Our Upper Colorado permit allows us to float from Pumphouse to State Bridge, giving your guide flexibility to select the section that is fishing best. Float trips combine boat-based fishing with opportunities to stop and wade productive runs along the way.
Depending on conditions, expect a mix of indicator nymphing, streamer fishing and targeted presentations along productive banks and structure.
