Overview

The Blue Quill Angler offers float trips on the  Upper Colorado River! Our permit allows us to float from Pumphouse to State Bridge, which gives us the opportunity to get you on the section of river that is fishing best. If you’ve never floated through this section of the Colorado River, you are missing out on some incredible fly fishing–not to mention beautiful scenery!

Most of the fishing action during our float trips will consist of nymphing multiple fly rigs under an indicator or casting streamers on the bank, which is one of the most exciting ways to entice the larger browns in this section of river. Although we fish out of the boat during our float trips, we also get out and wade fish the most productive runs. The fishing is great year-round, but it’s especially good from late March through early November.  Our float trips include all necessary equipment, including flies, leaders, waders and a streamside lunch.

Not included is a Colorado fishing license or Guide Gratuity.

Full Day Trips (8 Hours)

  • 1 Angler $825
  • 2 Anglers $895
