Meet the Blue Quill Team
Adam Ronscavage
Retail Specialist, Content Creator & Guide
Adam Ronscavage brings the heart of a teacher to everything he does at The Blue Quill Angler. Whether he is helping a customer in the shop, sharing knowledge through video and social media, or occasionally guiding, Adam enjoys helping others become more confident anglers.
About Adam
Adam learned to fly fish from his father at age 10 on the White River and Upper Colorado. Those early days created a lifelong connection to the sport and a desire to share it with others through patient instruction, practical advice, and time on the water.
A longtime educator, Adam spent 30 years teaching at Lakewood High School. His ability to make new skills understandable and approachable has always translated naturally to fly-fishing classes, customer conversations, and guided days.
At The Blue Quill
Adam first joined Blue Quill in 2000, spending his summer breaks working in the shop, teaching fly-fishing classes, and guiding anglers. He later stepped away from summer work to focus on raising his daughter.
When his daughter left for the University of Colorado and Adam retired from teaching, the timing felt right to return. Today he works with customers in the shop, contributes to BQA's social media and video production, and occasionally returns to the river as a guide. We are thrilled to have his experience, creativity, and enthusiasm back on the Blue Quill team.
Beyond the Shop
When Adam is not on the water, he enjoys biking, skiing, tying flies, playing guitar, cooking, and spending time with his daughter. Nearly anything that gives him a reason to be outdoors is likely to get his attention.
