Sling Shot

The Orvis sling pack I had for years held plenty of fishing gear that was easy to access . Fly boxes, tippet/leader, rain jacket, water bottle. The biggest challenge was net storage. A combo of connecting it to the “D” loop with a gear keeper retractable connection. It kept it secure, but not without banging on my legs while hiking to the next stretch of water.

I’ve had the FishPond Summit 2 for a few weeks and feel it will work fine. I can hold the same amount of gear. It has ample connection points, including straps (separate purchase) that let me secure rod tubes, a bigger raincoat, etc.
I’m also getting used to the net sleeve on the back facing part of the bag. Less banging around and just as secure.
Happy with the purchase!
