An Evergreen native, longtime South Platte guide, and fly shop owner, Jeremy brings more than fifteen years of professional guiding experience to Blue Quill float trips on the Colorado River. His approach blends deep technical knowledge with patient, practical instruction that helps anglers of every level improve.
About Jeremy
Jeremy is a native of Evergreen, Colorado, and has been fly fishing Colorado waters since he was young. What began as a passion for fishing and the outdoors eventually became a lifestyle and a career built around the rivers he knows best.
His home water is the South Platte near Deckers, one of Colorado's most technical and closely watched tailwaters. Years of fishing and guiding there have shaped Jeremy into a thoughtful, highly observant angler who pays close attention to trout behavior, aquatic insects, presentation, and changing river conditions.

Jeremy joins The Blue Quill Angler as one of our experienced float guides on the Colorado River. His background on technical South Platte water translates naturally to float fishing, where reading water, making quick decisions, and adjusting presentation throughout the day are essential.

Jeremy was fortunate to learn from respected fly-fishing mentors including Kirk Deeter and Tom Whitley. Over the years he has taken those lessons, combined them with thousands of hours on the water, and developed a refined approach of his own.
That foundation is especially evident in how he approaches difficult trout: observe first, understand what the fish and water are telling you, then make purposeful adjustments rather than simply changing flies at random.
Fishing With Jeremy
Jeremy enjoys teaching as much as he enjoys fishing. His trips often include practical lessons in entomology, casting fundamentals, reading water, rigging, and the drift mechanics that determine whether a fly truly looks natural to a trout.
The goal is not simply to catch fish for a day. Jeremy wants clients to leave with a better understanding of why certain presentations work and with skills they can take to the next river they fish on their own.

Jeremy is also the owner of Flies & Lies, a well-known fly shop on the South Platte River near Deckers. When he is not guiding, he can often be found in the shop helping anglers with current river information, equipment, rigging, and fly selection, or working on new fly patterns of his own.
That day-to-day connection to the South Platte keeps Jeremy immersed in both the technical side of the sport and the community of anglers who fish Colorado's Front Range waters.
