The Fishing
Three iconic flats species. One exceptional fishery.
Sight fishing is the heart of the experience. Depending on conditions, anglers may stalk fish on foot or cast from the bow of a skiff with an experienced local guide. The diversity of Belize’s flats means every day can offer a different opportunity.
Permit
Belize is renowned for permit, with fish found across nearby flats and schools ranging from smaller fish to specimens approaching 30 pounds.
Tarpon
Resident tarpon are available year-round, including fish capable of reaching triple-digit weights.
More Species
Snook, jacks, barracuda and snapper add variety and can turn any day on the flats into something unexpected.
