Why Fish Patagonia in April?
The Season for Serious Trout.
April is autumn in Patagonia—the Southern Hemisphere equivalent of September in North America. As the season changes, brown and brook trout feed aggressively and add weight in preparation for spawning.
This is the trip for anglers who enjoy hunting quality fish. Expect beautifully colored brook trout up to roughly three pounds, powerful rainbows and the possibility of exceptional brown trout in the 4–8 pound class.
Cooler weather is part of the experience. The reward is a chance to fish Patagonia during a spectacular season when some of the largest fish of the year become increasingly aggressive.

Travel Plan
April 10–17, 2027
April 9Arrive in Buenos Aires and stay overnight at a hotel. The Buenos Aires hotel night is not included.
April 10Fly from Buenos Aires to Bariloche. Rio Manso staff meets the group and transfers everyone to the lodge.
April 11–16Six full days of guided fishing throughout the Rio Manso program.
April 17Depart Rio Manso Lodge and begin the trip home.

Deposits & Cancellation.
Reservation Deposit
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. Deposits may be made by personal check or credit card.
The final 50% payment is due approximately 60–90 days before departure, depending on destination requirements.
Cancellation
Destination lodge policies make these reservations highly time-sensitive.
- Deposits are generally non-refundable unless otherwise noted.
- Cancellations less than 60 days before the trip forfeit the full trip amount.
- Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
