Meet the Blue Quill Team
Lydia Steinbeck
Guide Coordinator & Office Administrator
Lydia Steinbeck keeps many of the moving pieces at The Blue Quill Angler running smoothly. She brings decades of professional experience, strong organizational skills, and a genuine commitment to customer service to one of the shop's most important behind-the-scenes roles.
About Lydia
Lydia began her career after college as a second- and third-grade elementary school teacher. After moving to Denver, she transitioned into the telecommunications industry and built a decades-long career specializing in key-account project management.
That background made organization, communication, problem solving, and customer care second nature — skills that now serve the Blue Quill team and our customers every day.
At The Blue Quill
As our primary guide coordinator and office administrator, Lydia works closely with customers, guides, and the shop team to help keep schedules, trips, and day-to-day details organized. Her attention to detail and calm, customer-first approach help make sure a lot happens seamlessly behind the scenes.
We are fortunate to have her as an essential part of the Blue Quill team.
Beyond the Shop
While fly fishing may not be Lydia's greatest passion, family and Lake Tahoe certainly are. Away from work, she is happiest spending quality time with her six grandchildren or visiting her favorite place on the planet — Lake Tahoe.
And when she is not enjoying the lake and mountain scenery, there is a good chance she is casting for a different kind of prize at one of Tahoe's casinos.
