Underwhelming

I bought this set up for my 10-year-old. Conceding it is an entry set up, I kept my expectations low and I suppose it did the job. However, the reel is way too heavy for the rod and is a challenge to balance, at one point the reel even shook loose from the rod entirely. The rod is fine, but the reel was a disappointment, which kind of spoiled the whole set up. In the end, I should have made the investment in a legitimate set up. Doubtful the reel will ever be used again, just to clunky and struggles to stay attached to the rod.
