Quincy Duran
Fly Fishing Guide
Background
Born and raised in northwest Ohio, Quinton found his passion for fly fishing on local ponds and streams fishing for Pike, Bass, the elusive Carp and steelhead in the Great Lakes region.
It wasn’t until high school that he cut his teeth fly fishing for trout on the AuSable River in northern Michigan. After his first experience with seeing the beauty of a hatch and rising fish he knew a career in this environment was for him.
In 2017, Quinton decided to go to guide school. Further diving into this sport and soaking up as much information as he could. This experience really opened his eyes to what this passion/obsession had to offer. Being able to catch fish is exciting , but there is nothing like being able to teach tactics to someone and see how excited they get when it comes to fruition.
After Landing his first guiding job at a small dude ranch in southern central Colorado in 2018 he knew guiding was for him.
Quinton brings a relaxing, approachable and enjoyable approach to a day on the water. In his spare time you can find him playing hockey at a local rink or chasing fish near Downtown Denver.
