Ross San Miguel

New for 2020, Ross has reintroduced the classic San Miguel Fly Reel ,winner of ‘Best New Freshwater Fly Reel’, these reels include all the features you loved about the old San Miguel reels with some important new improvements over the old design. The new San Miguel features a larger arbor size, a new drag system, and an improved spool release. Design

A Contemporary Classic - The design of the San Miguel stayed the same in all the right ways. Ross did improve the arbor size for increased line pickup, the entire drag system, and the spool release mechanism. They also added a canvas micarta handle and a fully machined case and spool. They kept the appearance of the reel the same, however, including the solid black reel frame which makes the reel a perfect candidate for Trout Spey angling.

Finish

High Gloss Finish - High gloss finish adds an aesthetically pleasing and functionally durable coat to the San Miguel. This classy finish adds to the reel’s old-fashioned feel without compromising on performance.

Drag

Type - The San Miguel features a carbon/stainless steel, fully sealed, disc drag system that’s perfect for stopping any freshwater fish in its tracks. These reels are made for freshwater applications and the sealed carbon/stainless disc drag means this reel is a great option for Pike, Bass, and even larger freshwater species.

Materials - Carbon/stainless steel drag plates make this drag maintenance-free and highly durable. These discs add to the strength of the reel’s drag system making it one of the most capable in the freshwater market.

Arbor Size

Warranty

Ross Limited Lifetime Warranty - As of October 2019, Ross has a limited lifetime warranty that applies to the original owner of the fly reel. The warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the product only and does not cover direct, indirect, consequential, incidental, or any other type of damage resulting from the use of the product. That being said, Ross will also repair your reel for you for a cost.
