Austin Daniels
Fly Fishing Guide
Background
Originally from Kansas, Austin grew up fishing stillwater for largemouth bass. With a lake just steps from his childhood home, he spent much of his early life on the water, developing a deep connection to fishing from a young age.
As a teenager, Austin discovered fly fishing during a family trip to Colorado—a moment that would shape his future. From then on, he eagerly returned each summer to explore the small creeks and alpine lakes of the Centennial State.
At 20, Austin joined the Air Force and was stationed in Arizona, where he continued to pursue his passion by fly fishing remote, lesser-known streams in the eastern part of the state. After completing his service, he chose to make Colorado his permanent home and began building a career in the outdoor industry. These days, Austin spends most of his time refining his skills on the water or sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with others at The Blue Quill Angler.
