U-Series U202 Hook - 50 Pack

I’ve always been a fan of the U202 hooks. I love the offset then it gives you a bigger hook gap. The hook eye is big enough so I don’t have to work hard to thread it. The metal is strong, so I’ve had fish break me off with 3X tippet, but never straighten the hook even in a size 22. It is an expensive enough that I can throw the fly away when I do an do a bad job tying a difficult fly and not worry about wasting an expensive hook. Finally, I appreciate the fact that the barb is small so that I don’t have to weaken it trying to debarb it. I wouldn’t mind if Umpqua would make the barb a little smaller even.

Offset hook has better hooking ability with a large eye. I use it for midges and emergers, it’s my go hook.
